Billie Eilish

Hi there here is Carla reporting from the lycée Pagnol’s radio studio for our weekly show of Gossipy mate. Today I have decided to pay attention to the Billie Eilish interview on Variety this week. Billie Eilish spoke out against discrimination and biases towards men, challenging masculinity norms. She mentioned that society often imposes ideas such as « men should be muscular » or « men should be strong, » expectations that can be stressful and demeaning.
What was particularly impactful in her words was the way she dismantled these stereotypes, stating that whether a man is muscular or not should not define his worth. By saying, « if you’re muscular, it’s OK, and if you’re not, it’s OK, » Billie Eilish’s strong stance provides a valuable perspective in the fight against discrimination and sexism. That’s what I like in Billie, she shows the values I want to fight for. Like her I prefer not to judge people on their physical appearance and maybe people will say that I’m not goofy because these jokes are not funny for me. But who cares ! Time is running fast indeed and I have to leave you now but I hope you will join us for the next edition of Gossipy mate. Until then bye byeeee !
